Its no secret that I’m a travel fiend which fuels my passion for maps and discovery. If you follow me on Instagram @cutemapsmk you’ll know planning new adventures is one of my biggest pastimes, from finding hidden local gems to far flung grand vistas.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have spent many months backpacking and on the road, but nowadays 5-10 day road trips taking in 3 or 4 hotels has become my winning formula. As my husband and I run our own businesses its just not possible to suspend all communication with back home so, as we work a lot on the move, our ‘life is good’ moments often transpire in those quiet moments: sitting working with a glass of wine and an inspiring view. One thing that’s shaped the way I travel is my commitment to travelling light. I haven’t checked a bag in over a decade, and honestly, it’s been liberating.
