MY STORY
Since 2010 I’ve worked with organisations and individuals creating cute, custom map designs and illustrations. To date I’ve designed over 1500 commissions including murals, site plans, area maps, marketing literature and event invitations.
Before life in cartography, I worked in Fashion PR, Advertising, TV & Theatre. Nowadays I share a beautiful studio with Rachel Baker Artist in the grounds of Linford Manor. The Cute Maps team includes freelancers and my family during busy periods.
Over the fourteen years away from my hometown Milton Keynes (MK) I lived in London, Glasgow and Manchester; but the more time I spent away from MK the more I found myself having to redress the old falsehoods associated with it.
Now I'm back inside the MK grid, enjoying quaint village life in one of its twenty preserved old villages, amongst thatches and horse paddocks, yet in the middle of the city where singing delivery robots are ubiquitous and farm animals live next to John Lewis.
So in an effort to champion this unique green and wonderful place I launched the Milton Keynes Cute Map, which developed into a gift collection and spurned further map collections of nearby areas. I was also honoured to work with MK Council on a design of Milton Keynes for our successful city bid sent to the Queen in 2022 and gifted to King Charles during his visit. This design is available in the gift collection.

TRAVELLING LIGHT:
My love for travel has shaped so much of who I am. In my twenties I backpacked far and wide, only to realise I hadn’t explored enough of this continent. These days my adventures look a little different: my penchant is road trips to European design hotels and unique stays with a view, because working with a cocktail in hand and a grand view to inspire me is my happy place.
I’ve also positioned my work so I can design from almost anywhere and along the way I discovered a love for travelling light: squeezing everything I need into hand luggage. My latest feat in 2025 was a 9 day road trip on free hand luggage only!
I’m a fashion and beauty lover, so I never compromise on style or self-care when I pack. Finding fashion, luggage and clever products that help me travel light has become a bit of a hobby. So a little side project Cute Kits was born from that same spirit of freedom and creativity on the move. The kits I designed for myself over the years have now become little wonders to be enjoyed by all: helping others to travel light, avoid rising luggage fees and, in true me-style, they’re packaged cutely to make ideal gifts for friends and family.
